Luxe sportswear emerged as one of the biggest trends from New York Fashion Week’s Spring / Summer 2012 collections.
Alexander Wang, Marc Jacobs and Ruffian were but three designers who created sleek silhouettes, embellished with bright colours to create an exterior of physical fitness and athletic chic.
Once again, Swedish retailer H&M, offer catwalk-inspired creations to the fashionable masses.
Photographed by Andreas Sjodin, Swedish model Frida Gustavsson exhibits the chain’s sportswear inspired attire in this season’s campaign.
The pieces’ design and silhouette give a gracious nod to the designs and creations of the 1920′s, whilst the choice of colour-blocking and striped patterns transport the wearer into the twenty-first century.
Peplum, bandeau and clinched waistlines are but three other trends, which the brand endorses this season.
